Job description

At Noldus, we build smart software and integrated systems for behavioral research with humans and animals. Our tools are used worldwide in psychology, neuroscience, UX research, animal behavior studies, education, and clinical trials—think video-based behavior analysis, real-time behavior classification, and intuitive data visualization in labs, usability studios, or natural settings.

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our team and align with the CTO and product strategists. You’ll maintain our product roadmap, guide UX researchers, designers, and developers, and help us build next-gen browser-based tools. You’re a structured, communicative problem-solver who thrives in tech-driven environments.

What you will do

  • Maintain a delivery roadmap aligned with strategic priorities

  • Be the main point of contact between portfolio strategists, the CTO, and development teams

  • Plan and coordinate product releases and feature milestones

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

  • Collaborate with architects on technical architecture

  • Help developers break down user stories into actionable tasks

  • Track progress, manage dependencies, and escalate risks proactively

  • Communicate updates and risks clearly to stakeholders

  • Make pragmatic decisions balancing quality, scope, and timelines

  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Tech Stack

  • Back-end: Python (Flask/FastAPI, CLI tools), Shell

  • Front-end: TypeScript + Web Components (or minimal framework)

  • Ops: Docker, GitLab CI, Linux-first

  • Video: GStreamer, FFmpeg

  • Storage: S3-compatible object storage, Apache Iceberg

  • Cloud/Infra: Bare metal + lightweight cloud

  • Data formats: JSON, CSV, Markdown, MCAP

Job requirements

  • University of applied sciences, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

  • 1–3 years in software development

  • 2–3 years in project or team leadership

  • Good understanding of programming, software architectures, CI/CD, SaaS, version control, QA, AI-assisted software development

  • Experience with agile tools (Jira, Git, Azure DevOps, Linear) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid)

  • Able to discuss trade-offs intelligently with developers

  • Skilled at translating market needs into technical solutions

  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or Mandarin is a plus
